  • Yield: 1 baked Brie wheel 1x

Description

This Baked Brie with Jam is an irresistibly gooey, creamy, and slightly sweet appetizer that’s perfect for entertaining. The warm, melty brie pairs beautifully with fruity jam, creating a rich and elegant flavor combination. Wrapped in golden, flaky puff pastry or simply baked as-is, this dish is a showstopper at any gathering. Serve with crackers, bread, or fresh fruit for a delicious, crowd-pleasing treat!

Ingredients

Scale

Basic Version:

  • 1 (8-12 oz) wheel of Brie cheese
  • ¼ cup jam of choice (fig, raspberry, apricot, or cranberry work well)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (optional, such as pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices (for serving)

Puff Pastry Version (Optional):

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, if frozen)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted, for brushing)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Assemble the Brie:

  1. Place the Brie wheel on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Spread jam evenly over the top of the Brie.
  3. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and drizzle with honey if using.

For the Puff Pastry Version (Optional):

  1. If using puff pastry, place the brie in the center of the pastry sheet. Fold the pastry over the Brie, trimming excess pastry if needed. Pinch the edges to seal.
  2. Brush the puff pastry with the beaten egg to give it a golden color when baked.

3. Bake the Brie:

  1. If baking without puff pastry, place the Brie in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until soft and gooey.
  2. If baking with puff pastry, bake for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.

4. Serve Immediately:

  1. Let the Brie cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  2. Serve with crackers, sliced baguette, or apple slices.
